Early resolution


Whenever possible, we will try to help resolve a complaint as quickly and informally as possible.

We find many of our complaints can be resolved in the 30-day timeframe of our early resolution process. For instance, in 2007-08 we helped resolve two thirds of our complaints within 30 days.

If the complaint is suitable, we will:

  • contact you
  • give you a copy of the complaint and ask for your comment
  • suggest the best way, and take steps, to resolve your complaint (such as mediation).

If early resolution isn't possible or suitable, we will assess the complaint to see what action is needed.
