Increase community involvement in improving healthcare safety and quality
We will achieve this objective by:
- communicating healthcare improvement opportunities and improvements made by healthcare providers
- delivering quality client service
- preserving and promoting healthcare rights.
Strengthen our leadership and independence
We will achieve this objective by:
- building our reputation as Queensland's independent healthcare watchdog
- securing independent funding, reporting and functional arrangements
- retaining a quality monitoring function following the transition to National safety and quality health service standards.
Strengthen business operations
We will achieve this objective by:
- realigning resources, structure and processes to our strategic plan
- investing further in staff and system development
- streamlining and enhancing our legislative powers and functions
- maintaining financial sustainability.
